Cost ratio is not profit margin
Contribution per order = price − ingredients − packaging − tax − merchant-funded promotions − applicable delivery − other variable costs − commission − applicable online payment.
Estimated monthly operating result = contribution × orders − applicable subscription − entered fixed costs. Monthly margin = monthly result ÷ monthly revenue.
Example with declared inputs
An order of R$ 58.00, ingredients of R$ 16.00, packaging of R$ 2.40, own delivery of R$ 6.50, illustrative tax of 6%, 300 orders and R$ 1,500.00 fixed expenses.
In this example, contribution is R$ 20.80 per order and the monthly result is R$ 4,630.00, after a R$ 110.00 subscription. This is not a recommended margin.
The simulation repeats an average order over the month. It does not reconcile refunds, different basket values, platform-funded promotions or specific tax rules. Enter additional costs and check your contract.
